I’ve been listening to this a lot, at J’s urging (liking it very much)
and going to see this tonight! (i’m such a sucker for a good vampire story)

We went to the mountains this past weekend to enjoy Aunt G and Uncle K and play around in the snow!

A new print in the shop…
oh how my daughter wishes you could..
Thank you to cool mom picks for including me in their holiday gift guide! I love how they break it down (my paintings are under ‘I need something for daddy from the kids’).
Also, the new poppytalk handmade market is now up. Another great stop for your holiday shopping!
I have a beautiful new little pendant in my shop. It is a sterling silver pendant with your choice of baby girl, girl, baby boy and boy image. They come with a sweet little print of the same image and beautifully packaged. These would make an amazing gift for any mother!
Bloesem kids posted their holiday gift guide for boys today and I was thrilled to see my Grabbing the Brass Ring print was on it! Some really great ideas on this and the other holiday guides over there.
So I thought I would catalog some of my favorite things I have seen this season that would make great gifts. At least things I would love to receive (this is for you, dear ) *edit* ok, ‘dear’, that sounds kinda strange, I don’t honestly call him that. we just call eachother by our names. just thought I’d mention.
1. polaroid camera 2. cupcake cuff (anthropologie) 3. fedorable hat (terry graziano) 4. handmade soap (onono)
Irene at Bloesem was kind enough to do a post on my work on both Bloesem and Bloesem kids! Thank you! And thank you for all the shoe love comments over there. They are my favorite pair right now and thought the color went perfectly with the prints I was photographing.
A quick little note to say I added a new print to the shop. I painted this piece a while ago and have never made a print, but I saw it sitting in a file this morning and had a new appreciation for her, so here she is!
I’m sure you’re thinking, a what? The Daily Grommet is a site featuring a new find (or ‘grommet’) daily. The fun part is that you actually get to see these two lovely ladies actually talking about and using the grommet. Go take a look!
A few more prints have made their way into the shop, here is a peek…
have a wonderful weekend!
My calendars were featured over at Real Simple Magazine yesterday! Thank you so much to Holly Becker!
I have just added a couple new prints to the shop. They are part of a large series I’ve been working on, so expect more over the coming weeks. They are done on painted wallpaper so they have a subtle, beautiful texture.

We’re having mac n cheese and apple pie for dinner tonight while we watch the election coverage. Relieved, excited and nervous today is finally here.

I just found my new favorite online shop that I can not purchase from. Which, I suppose, is a good thing because I would be having a spending meltdown. If you want to see beautiful product after beautiful product, go here, now and spend the next hour looking around. sigh….
have an ever so spooky night, and wonderful weekend!
There is a tour of my studio today over at Poppytalk! Thanks Jan!
quite literally. I woke up this morning from a dream about this piece of art I was working on that somehow involved felt. I don’t normally work with felt, but in the dream I kept thinking “this is the best thing I’ve ever made!” Well, this morning I happened upon this gorgeous etsy shop, filzfelt. Now I just need to remember what I was making! I hate it when that happens.

Bloesem kids has an open house tour of Jenny of LMNOP fame that is really lovely. I did a portrait of this lovely lady and her son for LMNOP’s most recent issue, so it was fun for me to take a peek around her home!
I especially love how she displays her sons artwork. You can see more over at Bloesem kids.
