We are so doing this Christmas Day! We will be creating a ‘photo booth’ in the kitchen and I can’t wait to see the results! We did this years and years ago for my daughter’s third b-day and they are some of my favorite photos of her with all her family. I got inspired after seeing the smile booth over at Our Labor of Love photographers.
The Working Proof
I’m really excited to share that I have a print available exclusively over at The Working Proof. You may remember ‘King of the Mountain’ from earlier posts. It is now available as a limited edition of 50 prints, 8 1/2″x11″ for $35 here. Working Proof Gallery, started by the awesome Anna and Sean of Sub Studios, seeks to promote art and social responsibility. Each print is paired with a charity of the artist’s choice, to which they donate 15% of the sale of each print. I chose to pair with Victory Junction which provides ‘life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment’ for kids with chronic medical conditions or serious illness. Please go take a peek at the amazing art being sold and know a portion of each is going to support a charity!
Oh and the original painting will be posted later today in my etsy shop. It is 12″x18″and will be available for $240.

thankful
I feel like I have an especially long list of things to be thankful for this year: kids that make me laugh so hard I cry, a husband that supports me in my near constant list of house ideas (and never complains that I leave my art supplies everywhere), I’m back in the saddle (getting back to horseback riding has been like rediscovering a part of myself I missed), being able to do what I love and make a living at it..and the list goes on.
sofa plans
I recently bought this antique sofa via craigs list. I probably won’t get to this ‘little’ project for a while, but I like planning and dreaming. I’m thinking of white fabric, I know, I know, white sofa+2 kids and 1 dog = bad idea. But I ordered some samples and have been trying my best to stain them, look coffee! If I’m honest, I spill, stain etc, just as much as the kids. I have the bad fortune of spilling my coffee, on the sofa, on a regular basis.
space
I just discovered Space. It “features the creative forces that make up Portland, Oregon and the spaces and places where they work.” I love taking a look inside where people work.
originals in the shop!
I just added several original paintings to my etsy shop and I am running a special! If you purchase any of the original pieces you will get an 8 1/2″x11″ print free. Just mention the print you’d like in the comments to seller at checkout.
