I have been wanting to offer these for quite some time now and just finally got around to it! I am now doing little framed portraits, in the same vein as my ‘little paintings.’ The paintings themselves measure 4″x4″ or 3.5″x5″ and come framed in a frame hand painted to complement the piece. West Elm Event

I am thrilled to share that I will be participating in the We heart handmade event this Saturday at West Elm in NW Portland from 1to 6pm (west elm, 1201 NW Couch Street, corner of Couch and 12th Ave). So if you are a grandparent to our kids-STOP READING NOW!

I am quite proud of myself for actually getting this gift done. This is the time when I am busy getting portraits completed and off in time for others to give for the holidays, so unless I plan ahead, my own gifts can fall into the ‘thought that counts’ category. But I did it! I created a blurb book for our parents with pics of the kids from this past year. When the kids were little, I was pretty good about getting photos to everyone, sending them off on a pretty regular basis. I haven’t done that in years (and believe me, I have the guilt to prove it). The Working Proof

I’m really excited to share that I have a print available exclusively over at The Working Proof. You may remember ‘King of the Mountain’ from earlier posts. It is now available as a limited edition of 50 prints, 8 1/2″x11″ for $35 here. Working Proof Gallery, started by the awesome Anna and Sean of Sub Studios, seeks to promote art and social responsibility. Each print is paired with a charity of the artist’s choice, to which they donate 15% of the sale of each print. I chose to pair with Victory Junction which provides ‘life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment’ for kids with chronic medical conditions or serious illness. Please go take a peek at the amazing art being sold and know a portion of each is going to support a charity!

Oh and the original painting will be posted later today in my etsy shop. It is 12″x18″and will be available for $240.

I have had many requests recently to do portraits similar to the pieces in my etsy shop. So I decided to do just that! If you’re interested, go take a peek at my website for more ordering info. Each painting is based on a submitted photo, is done in acrylic on canvas and mounted to a beautiful bamboo panel. Right now I am offering them in two sizes, 12″x12″ and 12″x18″. These would make amazing holiday gifts (in fact the one of the three little girls below is just that for my brother and sister-law, ssshhh!). They do need several weeks to complete, so please order asap.
