Hello!
Here are a few little bits from around here. See you in the new year!
top: a table cloth I ‘made’ (ie I painted a drop cloth), new art supplies, goofing around the tree
bottom: macaroons, one of my favorite gifts, homemade crackers
have a lovely holiday
I am signing off for a little bit to enjoy this week with with family and come down off the crazy that are my days leading up to Christmas. I hope you and yours have a safe and warm season!

Have a cozy weekend!
It still doesn’t feel like winter to me yet, maybe I’m in denial? Perhaps we need to get our holiday tree, maybe that would help. Anyhow, have a wonderful weekend! (I want these socks)
tis the season of crazy
It is upon us, the season of crazy. It’s my busiest work season and the kids schedules seem to get busier with age. So maybe that’s why every year, our house gets a little, well, less. If it were up to me, our tree would wear nothing but white lights (every year I try to convince them, isn’t it pretty with just the lights?!!). They’re not having it. So, I try in other ways. Here are a few of my favorites this year…
Loving
this quote from Georgia O’Keeffe this sunny Monday morning…

Happy Friday!
Before I signed off for the weekend I wanted to share an interview I did with Danielle Krysa (aka The Jealous Curator) for Move Lifestyle about balancing motherhood and art. It is right here, if you’d like to take a look. Have a great weekend!
Shop Update November 23rd!
I will be putting a ton of original work in both my shops (etsy and floodline) on November 23rd, along with some new prints and new sizes! Please stop by next Friday and take a look!
Working On. Listenting To.
working on…
Ugh…
I was hit with the horrible cold going around our family this week. Trying to rest up so I can play catch up next week.
That’s all…
Happy Monday!
I have huge to do list this week, which includes finishing up portraits as well as photographing some new work for an update (yes finally!). In the meantime I am having fun with the afterglow app, which is very addicting. Hope you are having a great start to your week!
Loving (on this very dark fall day)
the new Maven Collective shop (currently tops on my must do/visit list)
the ‘patina’ on my painting apron (formerly my grandmother’s cooking apron)
this string of Himmeli lights
Loving obsessively
the idea of this trip. You see, I have a fondness from watching the world pass by through a window. It may have something to do with the long road trips my family used to take every summer across the country when I was a kid (vw camper van and all). I think I’ve seen every state from the midwest westward, through the window of said van. I’d love to give our kids this experience and this seems the perfect way. I’ve had atleast one kiddo home sick everyday this week, so that may have a bit to do with my current state of wanderlust, as well.

On the Island
some pics from our day out on Sauvie Island for some pumpkin picking…
Happy Friday!
By all accounts it looks to be a great fall weekend around here. Maybe some caramel cider, pumpkin picking, a soccer game and some painting (I fully intend to take the quote below to heart).
Also, a HUGE thank you to Babble for naming me one of the top 50 Etsy parents of 2012!

this wallpaper by Abigail Edwards. I know it’s wallpaper but I use it as wrapping paper (especially adorable for a little one, I think).
some new work off to a show
I just sent this group of little paintings and several framed prints off for an upcoming show. This weekend was crazy busy, with several fun projects that had deadlines coming up, but I’m almost done! Hope your week is off to a good start.
Friday….
My plans for the weekend (aside from the ever present painting of paintings) include checking out a few places from Remodelista’s great city guide of Portland
I definitely need to drink one of these and eat some of these, while curled up in front of the fire reading this
Happy weekend!
