working away

I am busy working away getting orders out for Christmas.  If you have already ordered, I will be finishing up and getting your portrait off to you soon!  If you are interested in a portrait, I am no longer taking orders for Christmas, BUT I have gift certificates available!  With each gift certificate I include several postcards with images of my work as well as a bonus ‘little print.’  Please contact me with any questions!  Here are a couple new ‘little prints’ in my etsy shop and an example of what comes with each gift certificate.

Also, tomorrow I will be adding several ‘little paintings’ to my shop (including the two above) as well as sharing my favorite gift finds for kids!

Yay!

Thank you, thank you to everyone who voted!!!  I am so excited to go to New York in just three short weeks.   I will only have part of one day to really explore but if you have any good tips, please pass them on.  I’ve never been to New York in December, so can’t wait.  If you’re in New York please stop by on Dec. 4 and say hi, here is all the info on the sale.

Also, I am still taking orders for portraits for the holidays, so get your orders in soon!

Thank you again, the support I received from friends new and old as well as from my customers has meant so much.

new prints now available!

I just added some of my new mini prints to my etsy store.  They measure 5″x5″, the actual image is 4″x4″.  I also put my limited edition of 10 each prints, of three of my most popular paintings, All Together, Girl in the Yellow Suit, and In the Depths .  They measure 24″x36″ with the image measuring 23″X23″.  They turned out just beautiful!

back to real life

This past weeken at Little Winter was just really special.  Abby and Chelsea created the most magical market I’ve ever seen, filled with the nicest people selling the most beautiful items.  It was table after table of goodness.   I met so many people and can only say good things about the entire weekend.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi!  I didn’t take many photos, but made sure my husband took the kids by the Ace Hotel photo booth.  Also, the biggest thanks to Cara for hanging with my the whole weekend!  The photo of us was taken by Jordan and her jealous worthy camera.  This little video by Anja Verdugo, captured the event perfectly, I think.

limited edition prints, large prints, mini prints oh my!

I am now offering several limited edition prints that will make their debut at little winter and then I will be putting them in my etsy store.  I’m really excited to be offering a limited edition of 10 24″x36″ (image size of 23″x23″)  prints of ‘Girl in the Yellow Suit,” “In the Depths” and “All Together,”  as well as limited editions of several as  10″x10″.  Also, I am going to do mini prints of all the little 4″x4″ paintings.  So, lots of new things (and busy nights for me ahead)!

quiet paintings

A couple more small paintings.  I’m sharing them together because despite the difference in palette and subject they both feel like quiet winter scenes to me.  These will both be available at Little Winter (which is next weekend!).

crafty pop up

I dropped off some little paintings yesterday for the Crafty Wonderland pop up shop.  Here they are, but I forgot to snap a pic of them all framed up.  The pop up shop is set to open in November and all the art is 6″x6″ or smaller and $100 or less.

These little paintings have become my morning warm up.  I can’t wait to get started and find it hard to put them aside and work on orders and portraits.  Here’s another I recently did.  I will have quite a few at little winter and several at the Crafty Wonderland pop up shop.

perfect fall

I suppose I am a true Northwesterner as I love when the rain comes and I can turn on lamps, light candles and put a fire on.  The past few weeks we’ve been having a blue sky fall, which is quite nice also.  Hopefully it will hold out for a trip to go pumpkin picking this weekend.  (confession: I had pumpkin pie for breakfast, mmmm)  Anyhow, here are a few more wee paintings that have a very winter feel.  I’m off to go riding then some more painting.  Have a wonderful weekend!

a new favorite

Yesterday I mentioned the new series of tiny paintings I have in the works to debut at little winter.  What I didn’t share is, that I am addicted to these little guys!  I think it’s because they are so different from the large paintings I have been working on that can take months to complete.  It is a nice break to sit down and see a thought through to completion so quickly (they are 4″x4″).  Oh, and they will all come framed.  This is my new favorite of the ones I’ve completed so far.
